General cargo transport projects examples
Customer: Laurentide / TINT
Type of Transport: Land by container
Commodity: Radioactive Radium tank into container
Scope: Transport of container from LCB Port, unloading of container and skidding into setting area.
Challenges: We put in place the new system of double wheel caster to easily move and skid the container to final area.
Instead of using a crane, Dextra Transport unloaded container from trailer using forklift to ground. Then with the double wheel caster system the container was moved to the setting area despite the narrow space.
Customer: Unilode Aviation Solutions / Avius ULD
Type of Transport: Sea Freight and Land Transport
Commodity: Aircraft container and pallets
Scope: Regular shipment from Thailand to several destinations which includes more than 20 countries worldwide.
Challenges: Short notice booking instruction necessitating immediate action to secure shipment support and ensure timely delivery. Certain shipments require transferring cargo from a vertical to horizontal orientation before delivery to the consignee's location due to the absence of appropriate docking facilities and equipment. It's imperative to devise an optimal solution for this delicate process, considering the high quality and sensitivity of the cargo to damage. utmost care must be taken during this process.
Customer: Vattanaphasal and Bangkok Industrial Boiler
Type of Transport: Sea Freight and Land Transport
Commodity: 2 units of Combustion System and accessories: 11.8 x 3.0 x 4.34 LWH in Meter / GW 31 tons per unit
Scope: Transport from FCA Bremen Port, Germany to FOT Consignee in Songkhla, Thailand
Challenges: With urgent needs at consignee’s jobsite, Dextra had to find the fastest and most suitable solution to ship these units from Bremen to Thailand. Time was too critical to transport by road due to requirement of road permit with unforeseeable cost and obstacle for the cargo height, we finally shipped said cargo by barge from Bremen port to POL in Germany. Then connecting to container vessel from there to Laem Chabang port, Thailand. The challenge was to find the solution to be able to ship this cargo into container vessel who have a more frequent services than RORO Vessel.
